Baptism In The Name Of Jesus

Baptism in the name of Jesus is the only baptism practiced by the early church. Church is the people not the temple or building. The Apostles were told to make disciple and baptize in the singular name. That name is Jesus. If you search the scriptures for how they performed a baptism it was always in the only name that saves Jesus. There is no one in the bible getting baptized in the Father, the Son and Holy Ghost. When Jesus in Matthew 28:19 Said "baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" he was referring to a singular name. This name Jesus is the name of the Father, Jesus is the name of the Son and it is the name of the Holy Ghost. And this was the very reason the apostles and early church baptized in the name of Jesus. It is never good to base a doctrine on one verse. We have many verses that support baptism in the name of Jesus. If you want more detail to this please see the listings under doctrine on this page.
